HAUSER Returns With "Classic II" and the London Symphony Orchestra
HAUSER's album "Classic II" reimagines 18 melodies for cello with the London Symphony Orchestra, out April 19, 2024, on Sony Music Masterworks.

Croatian cellist HAUSER returns to the classical repertoire with Classic II, out Friday, April 19, 2024, on Sony Music Masterworks. The album reimagines 18 beloved melodies for solo cello and orchestra, recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra under conductor Robert Ziegler. GROOVE Media, whose founder ran HAUSER's official social media from 2022 to 2025, created the social promo for the album's live premiere at London's Royal Albert Hall on May 9, 2024.
About the Album
On Classic II, HAUSER and collaborator Robin Smith set favorite melodies in new arrangements that let the cello carry the tune, from Albinoni and Mozart to Rachmaninoff and the Korean composer Yiruma. HAUSER has described the project as a pleasure and a return to his roots, adding that the world needs this music now more than ever.
Two of the pieces carry personal meaning. As a young cello student in London, HAUSER was chosen to play in the orchestra accompanying soprano Renée Fleming in "Song to the Moon" from Dvořák's Rusalka at a Buckingham Palace performance for Prince Charles. His solo arrangement of the Albinoni Adagio later became a YouTube video that earned some 91 million views.
"Kiss the Rain" and the U.S. Tour
The album announcement arrived with HAUSER's interpretation of "Kiss the Rain" by pianist and composer Yiruma, released with a music video. HAUSER also announced his first-ever solo U.S. tour, opening May 31, 2024, at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida, with stops at Carnegie Hall in New York, the Ravinia Festival outside Chicago, the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville and the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles.

Live at the Royal Albert Hall
On May 9, 2024, HAUSER premiered Classic II alongside selections from his 2020 album Classic at the Royal Albert Hall, performing with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra under Robert Ziegler and special guests Caroline Campbell, Lara Fabian and Aida Garifullina. The gala was billed as his only UK show of 2024. GROOVE Media produced the concert's social promo in story, square and landscape cuts, and the video on this page is published on GROOVE Media's YouTube channel.
