HAUSER Announces "Rebel With a Cello," His First Solo World Tour

HAUSER announces Rebel With a Cello, his first solo world tour, opening in Prague and Budapest in December 2022 before a 2023 European arena run.

HAUSER Announces "Rebel With a Cello," His First Solo World Tour

Croatian cellist HAUSER has announced Rebel With a Cello, his first-ever solo world tour, alongside the release of his solo dance album The Player on Sony Music Masterworks. The tour opens on December 17, 2022, at the Congress Center in Prague and comes to Budapest Aréna on December 22, 2022, before a 25-date arena run across Europe in October and November 2023, as reported by Croatia Week.

From 2CELLOS to a Solo Stage

Rebel With a Cello follows the final sold-out tour of 2CELLOS, the duo HAUSER co-founded and toured the world with for a decade. The new show is built around HAUSER alone: a romantic, soulful cello voice set inside large-scale arena production, complete with his signature pyrotechnics. He has described the cello as a universal language and says he wants his music to bring people together.

Inside the Show

According to the Budapest Aréna listing, the concert moves through distinct acts. It brings visuals from HAUSER's earlier video projects, including "Beach Party" and "Alone Together," onto the arena screens, then turns in its third act to rock-influenced, retro rhythms and the globe-trotting dance tracks of The Player.

The 2023 Arena Run

The 2023 leg takes the show to some of Europe's largest indoor venues, including Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona, the WiZink Center in Madrid, the Altice Arena in Lisbon, the Hallenstadion in Zürich, the Arena Center in Zagreb, the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam, the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin and the Accor Arena in Paris. In the UK, HAUSER plays two nights: the O2 Apollo Manchester on November 11, 2023, and The O2 Arena in London on November 12, 2023, according to Classic FM.

About The Player

The Player follows Classic, HAUSER's 2020 solo debut, which reached No. 1 on Billboard's Traditional Classical Albums chart. Produced with Steven Mercurio and recorded with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra on every track, the 12-track album trades the concert hall for Latin pop, jazz and brass-heavy dance arrangements, closing with a cello take on Shakira's World Cup anthem "Waka Waka," featuring the Bongi Duma choir. HAUSER has said he wanted to put real musicians in the spotlight at a time when so much music is made artificially.

GROOVE Media and HAUSER

The tour launched during GROOVE Media's work with HAUSER. From 2022 to 2025, GROOVE Media founder Afsheen Khosraviani ran social media for HAUSER, managing the official HAUSER accounts on every platform as well as the HAUSER Music Foundation accounts. In 2022 Khosraviani also launched the HAUSER Shorts YouTube channel from zero; it has since reached 148,000 subscribers and 16.3 million lifetime views. During that period HAUSER's TikTok grew from zero to 1.4 million followers and his Instagram climbed from 1.8 million to 4.1 million followers in under two years.
