GROOVE Media launches GROOVE Sessions, a Budapest live music series, with Kállay Saunders performing "I Need You Right Now."

GROOVE Media Launches GROOVE Sessions Live Series with Kállay Saunders

GROOVE Media has launched GROOVE Sessions, an original live performance series built on a simple format: one artist, one song, one room. The first episode features Kállay Saunders, the American-Hungarian singer-songwriter on the GROOVE Media roster, performing a live session of his new single "I Need You Right Now." The session was filmed in Budapest and directed, shot and finished in-house by GROOVE Media, and it is streaming exclusively on GROOVE Media's YouTube channel.

A Live Series Built Around the Performance

Each GROOVE Session captures an artist performing a recent song live in a minimalist setting, so the voice, the arrangement and the room carry the performance. GROOVE Media handles the full production internally, from direction and cinematography to editing and color grading in DaVinci Resolve. The goal is to give artists a polished live performance piece that works on YouTube, on social media and in broadcast, and to give audiences a closer look at how a song holds up outside the studio.

Episode One: Kállay Saunders, "I Need You Right Now"

Kállay Saunders released "I Need You Right Now" on January 23, 2025, as a two-track release alongside the song "pain." He wrote it with anatu, the songwriter and producer who has been his most frequent creative partner in recent years. The GROOVE Sessions episode presents the single as a live performance, and the studio version is available to stream on Spotify.

"I am honored to kick off GROOVE Sessions with 'I Need You Right Now,'" said Kállay Saunders.

He added that the series gives artists a chance "to share our music in its purest form," which sums up the thinking behind the format.
